About Us

Welcome to our School.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
All Lessons are taught by Chris Almond, a member of MTNA and NVMTA. In addition to studying piano with Carolyn Hickson at the University of Arkansas, Chris also performed on Oboe and English Horn with the North Arkansas and Fort Smith Symphony Orchestras and the "Ozarks Woodwind Quintet."  Chris has also performed as a Jazz Saxophonist with the University of Arkansas Jazz Band and on a variety of Medieval and Baroque period instruments in Collegium Musicum.  Chris completed his B.M. in Music Theory in 1998 under Dr. Robert Mueller.  In adition to leading Novapiano, he is also the Director of Education for Piano Place, one of the nation's largest piano dealers.

Chris' piano teaching combines traditional elements, some Suzuki method influences, along with the educational benefits of modern electronic technology to create a dynamic, flexible, and fun experience for the student, parent, and teacher.

Chris is also available for studio accompanying.
